HOMICIDE
DETECTIVES have charged a 27-year-old man with murder of a Mossman man.
Earlier this week, police responded to calls that a Holden Rodeo utility was on fire on the Mossman - Mount Molloy Road.
Investigations revealed the owner of the ute, a 38-year-old Mossman man, had been reported missing by a family member on October 17.
An investigation centre was established as part of Operation Quebec Velar with Homicide, Tableland, Cairns and Mossman detectives looking into the circumstances of the man’s disappearance.
The remains of a man were located on a property at Killaloe, South Mossman and the 27-year-old Mossman man was arrested and charged with one count of murder.
