Search is on for missing girl after Street Parade
MISSING GIRL
Police are searching for a 21-year-old woman who went missing after the Carnivale Street Parade on Macrossan Street on Friday and they are concerned about her wellbeing.
She has been identified as Breanna Anges Phillips, also known by the name Baberton. She was last seen at approximately 7:30pm on Friday at the Parade. She was a member of the Backpackers’ float and was dressed as a pirate.
Ms Phillips resides at Dougies Backpackers in Port Douglas and it is believed that in recent times she has been travelling alone.
According to Sgt Damian Meadows, Officer in Charge, Port Douglas, Ms Phillips’ bank account has not been accessed since Tuesday 22 May 2018.
“She has been inactive on her social media account and her mobile phone has been switched off.
“Please be on the lookout for her. If located, please assess her current state of mind and advise Police immediately as to her current location and state of health.”
Any information as to the whereabouts of the missing person should be forwarded to Sgt Meadows of Port Douglas Police Station at 4087 1999 or contact police link on 131 444 or your local police station.
