UPDATE 12.05PM: The Kuranda Range has now reopened. Investigations into the crash are continuing.

EARLIER: Policeand emergency services are at the scene of a three vehicle traffic crash on the Kuranda Range near the Rainforest Station.
 
One person is trapped in the vehicle and emergency services are working to free the man.

The Kuranda Range will remain closed in both directions until such time as all persons are cleared from the scene.
 
Motorists are urged to be patient and avoid travel on the Range at this time.
