ONE of the heaviest rain dumps in years has caused major flooding in Port Douglas, including Macrossan Street.
The famous Central Hotel front bar is currently under as residents rush to limit the damage to their businesses and homes.
The Captain Cook Highway remains closed as emergency services attempt to clear the damage from more than a dozen landslides, causing chaos for motorists travelling to and from Port Douglas.
