Partial road closure after serious crash in Mossman

UPDATE: A MAN has been killed following a single vehicle crash at Miallo today.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 11.10am a car travelling northbound along Mossman-Daintree Road veered off and crashed into trees just after Newell Road.

The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old Cow Bay man, sustained serious injuries as a result and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
EARLIER: Police and emergency services are presently at the scene of a serious single vehicle crash on the Mossman-Daintree Road near Newell Road.
The incident occurred about four kilometres north of Mossman near the Mossman Golf Club. There is now a partial road closure in place as a result.
Motorists may face delays until the incident is cleared.
