Flood warning issued for Douglas Shire
WEATHER
THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a flood warning for the Douglas Shire.
BOM duty forecaster Diana Eadie told Newsport today shower activity was expected to increase late on Wednesday and continue through Thursday.
“The flood watch is concerned about heavy rainfall around the Douglas Shire area,” Eadie said.
“We are expecting in excess of 100mm.”

The heavy rainfall is likely to cause the Daintree and Mossman Rivers to rise above the minor flood level overnight on Wednesday, and could also lead to local flooding.
