PORT Douglas will fine tune preparations for the AFL Cairns season with a practice match against reigning AFL Townsville premier Hermit Park today.
The Crocs, who have won back-to-back flags, will compete for the inaugural North Queensland Challenge Cup at 3.30pm at Watsons Oval after the match was moved from Cazalys Stadium due to wet conditions.
It was originally booked as the curtain raiser to the highly anticipated AFL Premiership season opener between the Gold Coast Suns and North Melbourne tonight.
It shapes as a dress rehearsal for what the Crocs might look like next week when they launch another premiership defence in a Good Friday blockbuster against South Cairns in Port Douglas.
