An Australian invention that has taken over the world, with the help of improving technology and the popularity of social media, the ‘selfie’ is now an official word in the Oxford Dictionary. It is often used to let your friends know where you are, what you’re doing and who you’re with.

And Newsport is giving you a chance to win a $100 voucher at the recently renovated Zinc Restaurant in Port Douglas.

Simply upload your favourite selfie to this Facebook post (see below) and the photo with most likes, wins!

So even if you’re not uploading a selfie, have look and vote for your favourite pic.

And, of course, get your friends liking your selfie on Newsport so you can treat yourself at Zinc - one of Port’s most iconic restaurants. 

The competition closes on Thursday June 21 (International Selfie Day) at 11am. We will then collect the data and announce the selfie with the most likes as the winner.
