LOCAL photographer Dean Jewell has captured an incredible image of a landslide in the Daintree National Park.

The Daintree coast received over 120mm of rain overnight on Sunday, with Jewell snapping this rare photograph of Cooper Creek Valley, along the eastern slopes of Thornton Peak.

The landslide turned Cooper Creek into a red colour with thick foam covering the normally pristine water.
