WATCH: Snake snatches possum while suspended from tree

A CURRUMBIN resident has filmed a python swallowing a huge possum in his backyard in an incredible video.
Greg Hosking looked above to find the huge reptile snatching a possum while suspended from a tree. The snake is a regular in the man's backyard.
"We haven't seen him for weeks. Then on Monday I was in the yard doing stuff and there was a ruckus from the birds," Hosking told the ABC.
"I looked up and saw it right up in the top of a tree, you could see the red fur of the possum in the python's mouth.
"We could almost touch him, we were keeping our distance a little bit. He was maybe just 5 metres off he ground."
The snake goes on to devour its prey while casually hanging upside down.
