A TEENAGER has been charged after allegedly prank calling emergency services in Mossman yesterday and threatening them with a bottle.

It will be alleged a 17-year-old, from Mooroobool, used a Front Street public telephone to make a series of triple zero calls, prompting a response from ambulance officers just after 2pm.

On arrival, a male ambulance officer was approached by a female who allegedly threatened to strike him with a bottle.

Police attended and the girl was taken into custody.

She was charged with one count each of serious assault of a public officer and improper use of an emergency call service.

She was also charged with three counts of wilful damage as a result of further investigations into incidents at a Front Street supermarket on February 14, as well as another incident at the Mossman police station yesterday.
