Driver crashes into Mossman residence and flees scene

Mossman Police are looking for information regarding an unknown vehicle which rammed and destroyed the fence of a residence on the southern side of Alchera Drive, Mossman near the Caltex Service Station, at 1:00am on Saturday morning.

A spokesman for Mossman Police said the driver, after ploughing into the residence, left the scene and the police at this point have no details about the car, witnesses or footage of the incident.

“The owners of the residence were awoken to what they thought was a bomb and when they rushed outside, the driver of the vehicle had already left. The property’s pine fence was completely destroyed,” said the police spokesman.

“We want to know from anyone if they have any information and if they do, to call Mossman Police on 07 4098 2177.”
