Bodies in Motion set to wonder
LOCAL EVENT
The Bodies in Motion dance school’s end of year concert “Welcome to Wonderland” is set to be a sell out this Friday and Saturday night.
Held at the Sheraton Mirage’s Glade Pavilion on the 7th and 8th December, the circus inspired performance will see the young dancers dazzle in front of a 600 capacity crowd each night.
Saturday night’s show is officially sold out and there are only fifteen tickets left for Friday night, which are expected to be snapped up in the coming days, making it the third year in a row the show has sold out.
Bodies in Motion Principal Saskia Turner said that the audience should expect to be impressed with the production.
“The show follows the journey of a ringmaster and her dazzling circus and all the weird and wonderful things you'd find inside a circus big top, as well as a few unexpected twists and turns in the storyline as well.
“I have a really good feeling about this year and I think our audience is going to thoroughly enjoy our show and I can confidently say that this is the best show yet.
“We have really stepped it up in terms of theme, dancing, costumes, set designs and lighting,” she said.
As one of the biggest sporting clubs in the region, the 350 students have been preparing for months to get everything just right.
“It's crazy how much planning and effort goes into our shows but it's definitely all worth it,” Saskia said.
“The kids have been doing a countdown at the studio every afternoon when they come in to see how many sleeps they have yet until opening night.”
“There is always an exciting buzz in the foyer with all the kids chatting about the show,” she said.
The performance kicks off at 6:30pm each night, for tickets visit try booking.
