DOUGLAS Shire residents and visitors, who have supported the now cancelled Taste Port Douglas over the past few years, now have an opportunity to go on a gastronomic adventure – the Bleasdale Wines Dinner at Daintree Ecolodge – on Tuesday September 11.
This exclusive event, featuring Bleasdale Vineyards and an innovative menu by Executive Chef Simone Watts, will incorporate local tastes of the Far North Queensland area.
The innovative menu is a fusion of the tropical tastes of the Daintree and the fresh tastes of the reef, featuring culinary delights such as sweet and sour crocodile and mud crab soufflé.
Guests will get to appreciate Bleasdale’s rich history and the production of some of Australia’s most exciting, consistently impressive premium wines.
Albeit a Bleasdale wine costing $12 or $70, a Sparkling Shiraz, a single vineyard Malbec or the Frank Potts Cabernet, it conveys a story in the glass that substantiates its history, diversity and increasingly, its pedigree.
