UPDATE: An elderly man died on Macrossan Street in Port Douglas yesterday afternoon.
Police confirmed an 83 year-old interstate tourist collapsed and died from a medical condition in front of the Flight Centre store just after 5pm.

Shocked onlookers reported seeing the man lying on the footpath as resuscitation attempts were being performed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Flight Centre in Port Douglas declined to comment on the incident while local paramedics have been unavailable for comment.
