IT might be the best bottle shop in the country.
The Mossman Hotel’s Bottle-O has been awarded the state’s best detached store for the second year running at the Queensland Hotel Association’s Awards for Excellence in Brisbane.
Given the sunshine state’s reputation for enjoying a drop, owner Paul McMahon and his team might start laying claim to being Australia’s leader.
“We are thrilled to win the award for a second time and it is wonderful recognition for our staff,” a proud McMahon said.
“With a huge range of beer and spirits and over 480 wines, we are becoming very well known across the Douglas Shire as the destination store.”
McMahon was presented the award in front of 1100 people at the Brisbane Convention Centre last night.
The annual QHA Awards for Excellence is designed to provide a forum for public recognition of excellence by Queensland hotels.
