PORT Douglas police are appealing for dashcam or CCTV footage in their bid to find missing grandmother Anne Cameron.

An extensive land and air search today failed to locate Mrs Cameron, 79, who has been living at the Ozcare aged care facility in Craiglie.

She was last seen walking at 3.30pm yesterday in Martin Scullett Drive.

Senior Sergent Damien Meadows asked for anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area from midday October 10 to come forward.

“We are hoping there might be some eyes and ears out there in the public that can help us with this investigation,” Senior Sergent Meadows said.

“Obviously the longer she remains missing the more concerning it becomes.”

Mrs Cameron was wearing a light or white coloured shirt and long pants, a hat and was possibly carrying a walking stick.

She is described as caucasian, approximately 165cms tall with a slim build and short grey hair.

“If anyone can remember having a conversation with this woman we would like to hear from them,” Meadows continued.

"She would have been walking alone and appeared quite active."

The search will resume at first light tomorrow.

Police are urging for anyone who may have seen Anne Cameron to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Port Douglas Police on (07) 4087 1999
