THE Captain Cook Highway is closed near Wangetti after a two-car smash.
Two women are reportedly trapped inside one of the cars, with emergency services currently trying to free them.

They're not believed to be badly injured.
Police and emergency services arrived on the scene just after 4.30pm north of Ellis Beach. It's believed the driver of the other vehicle escaped without injury.
The road is closed in both directions and motorists can expect lengthy delays.
Queensland Police have asked motorists to delay travel if possible.
