Knife-wielding man charged in Cow Bay

A 37-YEAR old man was charged last night following an incident at Cow Bay.
It will be alleged a man entered the yard of a Cow Bay residence a number of times between 6.30pm and 7.30pm and was told to leave by a female resident.

It will be further alleged the man armed himself with a knife and stood on the street outside the residence and created a disturbance by yelling threats.
Police were contacted and the man left the area. Officers later located him at another residence and he was taken into custody without incident.
The Cow Bay man was charged with one count each of trespass, possession of a knife in public and possession of a drug utensil.
He is due to appear in the Mossman Magistrates Court on December 6.
