LOCALS and visitors alike will again get the opportunity to spend hours of ‘shop-till-you-drop’ when the town hosts VIP Shopping Night, held for the first time last year. It will be held on Thursday May 11 from 5-9pm.

A key feature is shoppers will also get the opportunity to go into a draw for every purchase they make and can win the following prizes:
• Luxury sunset sail for two (2) on Aquarius ($120 value)
• Two (2) general seating admission tickets to the la soiree show in the Spiegeltent (value $138.00)

This Douglas Chamber of Commerce initiative was launched last year and its objective is to promote local businesses. It is supported by Douglas Shire Council through the Business Development Fund.

This promotes ‘shopping locally’ which keeps the revenue in the town as these businesses support the local schools, sports clubs, charities and service clubs...

The participating businesses are Evert Opals; Sportspower Port Douglas; Kass and Ko; L'dream; Shed 6; In Port Shoes; Tshinta; Premium Footwear; Jungle Road; Capannina; Georgies; Coffeeworks; Happy Herbs; Portabella and Portfolio; With Sugar; BambooShak; Floral Edge; Witchery; Lorna Jane; Ripcurl; the Eye; Raine and Horne; seafolly; Rose and Boy; Greg Norman Shop; Tropical Seashores; Wicked Willies and Hemingway’s Brewery
