A MAN has died in a two vehicle traffic crash which occurred in Cow Bay north of Mossman yesterday.

Initial information suggests at 5.05pm, a motorbike was headed north on Cape Tribulation Road when it has collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction.

The motor bike rider, a 70-year-old local man, died at the scene.

The driver and two passengers of the car were taken to Mossman Hospital as a precaution and have since been released.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
