PORT Douglas had 20 scoring shots in the first quarter alone on their way to a 187-point win over North Cairns on Saturday.

The Crocs slammed on 10.10 to one goal in the opening term to put the contest to bed early at Watsons Oval and ensure their 11th straight win.

Veteran Pete Bury put on another master class in the 32.23 (215) to 4.4 (28) victory. It was the eighth consecutive week the gun Croc has been among his side's best.

Troy Lehman, Ethan McCullough, Mathew Medcraft (four goals) and Skip Gribbon also impressed, while captain Kye Chapple and talented forward Kurt Bradshaw each kicked five majors.

The reigning premier will face South Cairns this Saturday in Port Douglas in what promises to be a much tougher assignment. The Cutters will be smarting from a 22-point loss to Centrals Trinity Beach, who appear to be the Crocs greatest threat this season.
