EARLIER 4PM: POLICE say missing Port Douglas woman Jessica Hamill could be ‘anywhere’ amid concerns she is being held against her will.

Acting inspector Mick Gooiker told at a press conference today in Cairns the parents of the missing 20 year-old were distraught. She was last seen by flatmates at her Limpet Avenue address sometime before 2am this morning.

Gooiker urged anyone with information to come forward in an effort to locate her as soon as possible.

Hamill, a hard working Port Douglas local, failed to show up to work this morning which prompted a call to police.

She may be with a man known to her driving in a 2012 black holden station wagon with black fitted wheels.

Gooiker said they believed they were driving in the Tablelands area but admitted ‘they could be anywhere.”

EARLIER:POLICE are seeking community assistance in order to locate a woman that went missing from Port Douglas on Tuesday night.

20-year-old Jessica Hamill is believed to have gone missing from her Limpet Avenue residence at Port Douglas sometime around midnight on Tuesday and has not been seen since then.

Jessica is described as being a Caucasian woman about 170cms tall and of medium build, with blue eyes and sandy blonde hair.

Police hold concerns for her safety and believe Jessica may be in the company of a man aged in his mid-twenties, who may be holding her against her will.

They are possibly travelling in a dirty black coloured 2012 model Holden Commodore station wagon with unknown registration details. The vehicle has black wheels fitted.

Police are urging the community to report any sightings of this vehicle, which is similar in appearance to the one pictured below. Please note that this image is not of the actual vehicle.
