Mighty Mossman Show ‘continues to grow’

THE Mighty Mossman Show is back this long weekend bigger and better than ever.

Now in its 66th year, the Mossman Showgrounds will come alive on Sunday and Monday (July 23-24) with a jam-packed program of events and activities for everyone.
Mossman Show Committee President Mr Mathew Hatfield said he was expecting attendances to be up on last year.
“Every year the show continues to grow substantially,” he said.
There is a huge line-up this year and a host of free events including bands, whip shows, trick horse riding, animal exhibits, school displays and the wood chopping challenge. There is also the usual side show ally.
Hatfield said the committee tried to 'change up' the rides each year so punters can expect something different this long weekend.
The show remains an important event and brings the community together. There will be extra parking along Johnson Rd past the Mossman Hospital.
Magic Monday Mega Draw
Due to last years’ success, the Magic Monday Mega Draw returns this year. Show goers attending on Monday will go into the draw to win the $2000 cash prize.
The Monday mega draw was introduced to entice visitors to the second day of the show, when the program is chockfull. It worked a treat last year with large crowds attending the public holiday show day.
Over 2000 tickets were issued at the gate, including to the local man who won the draw.
