Helicopter hovers over Port Douglas

FLAGSTAFF HILL



INTERNATIONALLY-acclaimed track builders World Trail are currently using a helicopter to sling in materials for the new $700,000 Flagstaff Hill Walking Trail.

Rex Smeal Park has been a hive of activity today giving onlookers a spectacular vantage point of the chopper hovering at close range.

The Heli Tours North Queensland aircraft has been carrying base materials, concrete and steps to the building site along the Coral Sea for the gravel-based track.

It’s part of the first construction stage of the trail which will link Four Mile Beach to Rex Smeal Park.

The recently completed pump track in Port Douglas was also completed by World Trails.
