FOUR Mile Beach has been reopened this morning.
The beach was closed yesterday afternoon after a large crocodile was spotted near the main swimming area.

Port Douglas Surf Life Saving lifeguards shut down the beach for the mandatory four hours after the sighting.
The sighting had been reported to the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection, who recently changed the zoning of the Port Douglas beach to allow for the removal of any crocodile above two metres.
