POLICE searching for a 60-year-old man swept away in flood waters in Tolga have located the man deceased.

Alfonso Muoio was last seen on foot in the vicinity of Spring Creek in Tolga at about 6pm on Wednesday.

Police confirmed they had located the man this morning approximately seven kilometres from where he went into the water.

Police and officers from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services swift water rescue are working to recover the man’s body from the scene before preparing a report for the coroner.
