Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree (TPDD) is searching for five ambassadors to showcase the region in their latest ‘Show Me Your Paradise’ campaign.

“Personal encounters resonate far better with audiences than any form of traditional sales-based marketing,” says Tara Bennett, TPDD Executive Officer.

“We are hoping that by sharing the stories of locals, who love what they do and where they live, others will be inspired to visit us and experience some of these things for themselves.”

Bennett said TPDD was on the hunt for people across all sectors, not just tourism operators, with entries to focus on the pillars of beach, reef, aquatic, lifestyle and natural encounters. If selected, ambassadors will film still photography and a video to be used in Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree’s marketing activities for this year.

“Primary producers, those with special interests, environmentalists, wildlife rescuers, if you are doing something special than we really want to hear from you,” Bennett said.

Entries open today and close on Wednesday February 23. People are encouraged to nominate themselves or a friend in less than 100 words online.
