ARIA-award winning artist Ben Lee will perform in Port Douglas in May in a major coup for the town.

The internationally acclaimed musician will play a once-off show at Rex Smeal Park on Saturday May 26 and also hold a workshop for aspiring local songwriters during his visit.

Lee shot to stardom with his groundbreaking release Breathing Tornados back in 1998, going on to release another eight solo efforts including the double platinum Awake is the New Sleep.
