‘Tanamera’ mansion up for auction
REAL ESTATE
THE exclusive ‘Tanamera’ mansion in Port Douglas will be auctioned next month.
The exotic Asian inspired trophy home is situated at 44 Island Point Road and offers complete privacy and seclusion at the highest vantage point in town.
Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty, the selling agent of the property, told Domain the home was ideal for domestic or international buyers.
“Tanamera has the potential to be leased as a luxury holiday home, corporate retreat, executive lease or private celebratory getaway,” agent Michael Vettoretto said.
With its heavily influenced Asia and East African feel, the home was originally designed as a future retirement home by Asia-based owners. It has never been occupied.

The four bedroom, five bathroom mansion boasts two pools, a spectacular living area which features a vaulted timber cathedral ceiling, along with marble floors and a sweeping marble staircase.
“This home has never been lived in, meaning that it qualifies as a ‘new dwelling’ under the Foreign Investment Review Board’s [FIRB] rules.”
The house will be sold at auction in Sydney on May 8.
