PORT Douglas was made to work hard against Manunda Hawks on Saturday night at Cazalys Stadium.

The Crocs outfit led by just eight points at three-quarter time but flexed its considerable muscle with a five goal last term to maintain an unbeaten start to the season.

Midfielder Pete Bury, Cole Laurie, Declan Kelly and Jordan Chapman were instrumental in the 14.10 (94) to 9.8 (62) win, while Brett McKeown continued his impressive form with another strong display.

The Crocs forward line functioned well despite the absence of Kye Chapple, with Jesse Mawson booting five goals and Mitch Bohm and Adam Gross each snaring three in the 32-point triumph.

The victory sees the Crocs remain a game clear in second position ahead of this week’s clash with the fourth placed North Cairns Tigers.
