More teens arrested over local crime spree
FRESH CHARGES
FOUR more teenagers have been charged in relation to a spate of recent crimes in Mossman and Port Douglas.
A four-wheel-drive, previously stolen from Port Douglas, was again nicked yesterday morning from a Mossman car yard, along with a number of others vehicles.
Two 14-year-old boys, from Edmonton and Cooya Beach, and two others aged 15 and 16 from Mossman, were arrested yesterday in relation to the alleged incident and other property offences.
They were charged with a total of 34 offences including multiple counts of breaking and entering premises, stealing, unlawful use of motor vehicles and receiving and possession of stolen property.
The arrests come on the back of three teenagers charged over the weekend in relation to a number of the same matters.
The Junction Cafe in Mossman has been broken into twice in a fortnight, while a number of push bikes and other items have been reported stolen in recent weeks in Port Douglas.
