A 26-year-old Port Douglas man has been charged with stealing and 54 fraud offences following an investigation lead by Mossman Detectives into a stolen credit card reported on September 8.

Police will allege the man located a credit card belonging to a tourist on August 28 and over a four-day period, between August 28 and August 31, made a total of 54 online and in-store transactions.

He will appear in the Mossman Magistrates Court on October 19.
