There has been a crash north of the Daintree River which is causing lengthy delays at the Daintree Ferry.

Douglas Shire council have advised that a single lane has been opened for north and south bound travellers over the Daintree River, but a back log of vehicles is causing long delays.

It’s believed two passengers were taken to Mossman Hospital in a stable condition following a single vehicle collision.
