A RESCUE 510 helicopter was called to the CREB Track this morning after a mountain bike rider was injured.

The man is believed to be in a stable condition after falling from his mountain bike and spending a night on the track.

The CREB Track is a 71km dirt stretch popular with 4WD enthusiasts, but is also a popular mountain bike trail.

The man was flown to Cairns Hospital with a suspected shoulder injury. 

The details of incident are still unclear.
