MOSSMAN Golf Club’s Tuesday Championships was won by John “JC” Carney with net 144 over 36 holes.

The Court House Hotel voucher winner was Mark Geddes with 70 nett ahead of Paul McMahon 71 on a count-back to John Carney.

Juniors – Free Junior clinics each Tuesday 5pm – 6pm for youngsters aged 6 – 17 years.

Wednesday’s nine hole stableford event was won by Kerri-Lynn Williams with 21 points.

The Ladies Thursday Championship was won by Glenda Christensen with nett 145 over 36 holes.
The daily event was won by Judy Kraidy nett 72 ahead of Glenda Christensen 73.

Friday was a perfect day for golf, and the 2 ball Ambrose event to farewell Glen Henry was well attended by lots of thirsty golfers. Winners were Robert “Plug” Young and Matty Smith.

On Saturday a great field of players enjoyed the annual “Chisel’s Fun Day” and many thanks to organisers Judy McCormack, Marc, Christopher,Daniel McCormack and sponsors Leigh Stevenson from Golf World, Taubmans Cairns, Cairns Hardware, Mossman and James Brown from the Tavern.

On Sunday Mossman hosted the FNQ District Ladies Golf Association Champion of Champions, with champions from 8 of the district’s 20 affiliated clubs attending. A play-off was required to determine the District Champion in Division 1, with Caitlyn Hendrie victorious on the 2nd play-off hole over Evie Golightly from Cairns.
