Learn the art of chocolate in Mossman with master pastry chef
MOSSMAN
IF you are a chocolate lover and wanting to make an early start to your Christmas shopping, you have an ideal opportunity to satisfy your sweet tooth by joining a Christmas chocolate-making class on Saturday November 19 and Sunday November 20 from 2:00pm to 8pm at Beechwoods Cafe in Mossman.
And besides being treated to a day of chocolate fun with a festive twist, you’ll also receive a light dinner, refreshments and more take-home chocolate than you can imagine.
Austrian-born Maria Graf, a master pastry chef and chocolatier, who made Australian her home 25 years ago, will conduct the classes, which are limited to five people. Her classes are aptly named The Art of Chocolate, creative chocolate classes.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Maria to Mossman and the participants are in for a great day. There are two spots left on both days and I’m sure they’ll go quickly,” said Beechwoods Café owner Sharon Beechey.
“All ingredients, tools, equipment and aprons will be supplied on the day and the attendees will learn that chocolate isn’t just about the taste and pleasure it gives, it’s also about the creative possibilities it offers,” she said.
Something to look forward are the chocolate truffles – the ultimate Christmas confection. “Blend your ganache fillings with your favourite flavours, including a choice of liqueurs, and then finish them with delicate piped decorations.”
See Sharon at Beechwoods Café or call 0407 081 198 for more information or to book your place. The price is $195 per person and payment must be made at time of booking.
