WHO said you had to train to be a part of the famous Tropical Journey’s Great Barrier Reef Marathon Festival?

The hugely popular event is less than a fortnight away and volunteers are being called to help out on Sunday, November 6 in Port Douglas.

Assistance is needed to perform a number of tasks between 4.15am and 2pm on the day. Jobs include attending water stations, traffic marshals and helping with logistics and event organisation.

“Being a volunteer for the Great Barrier Reef Marathon is a lot of fun and very rewarding,” says event organiser Sarah Cullen from Port Douglas Events Management.

“Volunteers are crucial to the success of the event and play a huge role in showcasing it.

“If you would like to get involved without raising a sweat then we want to hear from you.”

People interested in volunteering, even if it’s just for an hour or two, can contact Sarah on 0408 130 970 or email sarah@pdem.com.au.
