LAST weekend OTIS Foundation, with the support of the Douglas Chamber of Commerce held a ‘Pink Up Port Douglas” fundraiser where participating businesses went pink and raised funds for breast cancer.

The OTIS Foundation provide Breast Cancer Retreats free of charge for people battling breast cancer and their families for some much needed rest and relaxation. Port Douglas now has a local retreat in Island Point Rd, and local couple Mick and Sue Whalen have also come on board to offer stays at Nautilus Holiday Apartments.

“Funds raised will cover the cost of cleaning these venues for each OTIS booking and whilst there are other hotels who would like to come on board, OTIS Foundation can only provide what they can afford,” says Chamber President Helen De Ross.

“So the more funds raised each year, the more Port Douglas holidays the OTIS Foundation can offer. The generosity of this business community never ceases to amaze me.”
