PORT Douglas residents will soon have the opportunity to enjoy their morning coffee at the St Crispins railway station, the Bally Hooley’s final stop, at a café to be known as Choo Choos @ St Crispins.

The café will officially open this Thursday 10 November.

The brainchild of well-known Port Douglas businessman and developer, John Morris, this classic location overlooking a unique water feature, is targeted to become a popular spot throughout the year for those walking their dogs, dropping the kids off at school, cyclists, or for someone keen to get a coffee and muffin somewhere close by.

“We will be serving coffee, pastries, sandwiches, muffins, salads, juices, smoothies, and much more,” said Morris.

Choo Choos will operate from 7am until 4pm, when the last train leaves the St Crispins station. There will be a kids menu, chairs and tables will be on the deck of the station along with other unique features.

“This is a great opportunity to capitalise on an area that has the potential to draw a lot of traffic and I am confident it will become a popular location,” said Morris.
