PORT Douglas foodies are in for a treat with renowned chef Justine Schofield adding a signature dish to the Bazaar restaurant menu.

The Everyday Gourmet television star has been holidaying in Port Douglas and partnered with the QT Resort to add her own seafood twist.

Her black mussels in light coconut broth compliment the Bazaar’s contemporary buffet already bursting with flavours thanks to the talents of Head Chef Dan Adams and Trent Sydenham.

Schofield was a smash hit on the first series of Masterchef Australia and has gone on to become one the country’s most celebrated cooking personalities.

“It’s fantastic that Justine has thought it fit to add her fabulous dish to our menu,” Adams said.

“It has been hugely popular with our customers and we’re really encouraging the Port Douglas locals to come out and try it.

“We are lucky to be able to offer some of the freshest seafood around at Bazaar and to have Justine a part of that just makes sense.”

Bazaar uses some of the freshest produce in Far North Queensland and will light up the eyes of the most discerning seafood lover.

You’ll first be greeted by king crab claws, oysters and sultry mussels from the seafood and salad bar, while Mexican, Asian and Australian inspired mains, along with dishes from around the world, are a feature of this ever-evolving menu. For the steak lover, chef’s are at the ready to cook your cut just the way you like it.

Schofield’s dish is a must try; the mussels and chilli infused coconut broth accompanied perfectly by a steaming bed of jasmine rice.

The bubbly celebrity chef now owns her own catering company, is a regular columnist for taste.com.au and has released a best selling cookbook Dinner with Justine.

If you’re a Port Douglas local it would be plain bizarre not to head to Bazaar and see what all the fuss is about.
