Mossman Golf Club’s members were keen to get back on the course for Friday’s nine hole Mossman Butchering Bash, which was won by Joe Wild with 22 points.  NTP’s – Bill McCarthy and B. Mayne.

Saturday’s event sponsored by the Combined Club was won by John “Ziggy” Ziegler with 41 points ahead of Mark Geddes 30 and Ed Sant 39.  NTP’s – John Ziegler, Norm Lockwood, Steve Gray, Mark Geddes and Wayne Christensen.

The Ladies event was won by Shirley Carney with 33 points ahead of Jo Constantine 31. NTP’s – Kim Edwards and Tricia Batkin.

The Sunday competition was won in great style by David Heron with 45 points ahead of Brendon Wood 40.David impressed his playing partners with an “eagle” on the 440m fourth hole by hitting a 4 iron through the trees from 160m out and scoring 3 on the par 5.

JUNIORS -  The Club is hosting free beginners clinics each Tuesday 5pm – 6pm for youngsters aged 6 – 17 years.

Players are invited to nominate for the Club Championships to be played on 11th,12th and 18th, 19th June.

The Mossman Golf Club has been selected out of the 20 clubs in the FNQ District to host the RACQ North Queensland Golf event to be held on 24, 25 & 26th June 2016.
