The Lure Restaurant and Bar at The Reef Marina has decided to follow the trend of previous years by extending its hours and staying open for dinner. It already serves breakfast and lunch.

This time, though, they’ll be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 5:30pm, compared to last year when they were open for four nights and two in 2014.

And Lure owner Kelly Caughey’s attractive offer of 20 per cent off the entire dinner menu until the end of May should prove to be an enticement for locals and tourists. This is an exclusive offer for Newsport readers who mention their advertisement our our website.

“It’s exciting times for the Marina as the busy period looms and the tourists stream in. In terms of the mix of eateries, there is now more to choose from and each has a point of difference which is healthy,” said Ms Caughey.

Ms Caughey said each of the entities has something unique to offer.

“We’ll soon have a brewery in Hemingway’s; Barbados is a cocktail bar; the Boast House offers tropical dining; Hog’s Breath is a steakhouse and we’re a diverse, family-friendly restaurant,” she said.

The recently-opened Boat House with its “million-dollar view” is being promoted by owner Karen Buller as the perfect venue for a romantic dinner; and as a bonus she is offering free dessert if you make reference to their advertisement on the Newsport home page.
