THE Douglas Netball Association held the Fowlers Cup Carnival last weekend.

Over 45 teams from around the region attended, with Douglas teams magnificent throughout the weekend with local association sides doing brilliantly.

The under 10's Red Dragons coached by Alex Heidke came out winners, our under 12's young Diamonds coached by Kath Baxter came out winners also.

The under 10's young Gems coached by Junior coach Loukita Aston Boyle came runners up.

Young guns 1and 2, coached by Sharon Beechey, came third overall.

All other Douglas teams Aftershock, Pythons, 7 pointers, Young Sapphires, Blue Lightning, Young stars and Dolphins played amazingly well making the weekend a fabulous success.

A very special thanks to all our sponsors, especially the Reef Raiders who helped out enormously with our extra courts, without this our carnival would not have been possible.

Special mention must go to Sharon Beechey and the Cairns and Baxter families who, with the help of their great friends, made the canteen a great success.

Thank you so much to all our parent helpers, umpires and anyone who helped on the day or the previous weeks leading up to the event.
