Crocs out to impress for Pink in the Tropics Day

Published Friday 6 May 2016

PORT Douglas faces a crunch clash with Centrals Trinity Beach at the Port Douglas Sporting Complex tomorrow.

The Crocs and Bulldogs sit equal on points inside the top four on 12 apiece, with coach Brad Cooper earmarking this as a danger game before the representative bye.

In front of an expectant bumper Mother’s Day eve crowd, the Crocs will hope to continue their hot form which saw them topple premiership fancy Cairns Saints a fortnight ago.

The Pink in the Tropics Breast Cancer Support Group is also holding a special function to coincide with the clash.

The Combined Pink Sports Day will start with a champagne breakfast at the Palmer Sea Reef Golf Resort tomorrow from 9.30am - 11.30am, before transferring guests to the sports ground to watch the game.

Port Douglas will also wear special pink guernsey’s for the day to help raise awareness for breast cancer.

Cost of the event is $30 and includes breakfast and entry into the ground.

There will also be entertainment during the day, such as a Zumba exhibition at half time, while raffles and auctions are also planned.
