Crocs make it four straight with another important win

Port Douglas Crocs proved too strong for a spirited Cairns City Lions on Saturday to record a 44-point win.
The match was an arm wrestle for the red-hot Crocs in the first term with the Lions holding a four-point buffer heading into quarter time.
Port Douglas, through standout performances by key talls Hayden Graham and Jonathan Hobbs, began to gain the ascendancy in the second quarter and booted 7.3 to 2..2 to gain control of the contest.
Jesse Mawson, Wes Glass, Peter Bury and Sam Scally were prominent in the second term blitz and remained so for the entire match, helping Port Douglas another important win 15.5. (105) to 9.7 (61).
They again had a healthy spread of goal-kickers with skipper Kype Chapple booting three majors and Andrew Macleod, Peter Bury, Brett Mckeown, Wes Glass and Graham all finishing with two.
It was the fourth straight win for the Crocs and sees them move a game clear in second position on the AFL Cairns table.
