DURING Carnivale, which kicks off today, there will be road closures which may affect access to roads through Port Douglas.

See below for all the specific closures.

Street Parade Road Closures:
Macrossan St will be closed to traffic from mid to midnight on Friday 20 May. Parking will be restricted from 6am on Friday 20 May on Macrossan St between Owen St and Wharf St.

Mowbray St, Owen St, Wharf St, Warner St and Grant St will be closed to traffic on Friday 20 May from 5pm to 9pm.

Art Park and Wonderland Spiegeltent Road Closures:

Ashford Ave and Dixie St will be closed from 7am Friday 20 May to 6pm Sunday 22 May.

Family Beach Day Road Closures:
Cnr of Macrossan St and The Esplanade, and Cnr of Mowbray St and The Esplanade will be closed to traffic on Saturday 21 May from 7am to 4.30pm.
