Bally Hooley train to run daily from tomorrow for Carnivale weekend

THE Bally Hooley Steam Railway is getting into the spirit of Carnivale 2016 and will run daily commuter services from tomorrow.

As Port Douglas gears up for the anticipated Carnivale weekend - which begins on Friday - the iconic steam train will operate six services a day from Thursday through to Saturday from the Marina Station to St Crispin’s Station, stopping at QT Resort and the Sheraton Mirage Country Club.

The new timetable is a precursor to the daily commuter service the tourism icon will run over the next month to coincide with the opening of Hemingway’s Brewery.

The Bally Hooley is also joining forces with another Port Douglas favourite, the Wildlife Habitat, this weekend and will be offering free return transfers on the Adrenalin Shuttle between the St Crispin’s Station and the Habitat.

Visitors can ride the Bally Hooley and have a five day entry to Wildlife Habitat for just $46 per adult, $23 per child and $115.00 for a family.

Tickets are available for purchase from the Ballyhooley ticket office for travel on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st May under the special timetable. The standard Sunday timetable will resume on May 22.
