Raine & Horne State Awards highlights local achievement

Last Saturday Raine & Horne hosted the State Awards for Queensland at the Sofitel Hotel Brisbane in recognition of outstanding performance during the previous year, and Raine & Horne Mossman Port Douglas were rewarded for their hard efforts.

Receiving several office and staff awards, their standout performance was being awarded second place out of 83 offices in Queensland for the highest amount of gross commission sales.

Other awards also included Director/Licensee David Cotton receiving third place in gross commission income and Director/Licensee Travis Schumacher receiving the highest number of sales for the state out of approximately 279 sales people.

At a black tie do where around 250 guests gathered to ‘Shine’ at the aptly named event, our local agency couldn’t have be more “over the moon” about their achievements.

“This is a great achievement for all our hard work and the results show.  It’s also good to feature against the city agencies when you’re competing with the Gold Coast and Brisbane,” said Mr Schumacher.

Mr Cotton previously reported that the steady increase in house prices reflected a positive long-term outlook for investment in Douglas real estate.

“Going forward we will definitely see an issue with enough stock coming on to the market but we won’t see anything like what’s happened in Sydney or Melbourne where they’ve had massive rises in the prices.

“Up here you will see slow, steady growth so it’s a nice way to invest in property because unlike those capital cities where you get massive spikes and then a downturn here I can’t see a downturn in this market over the long-term.”

With the high-end market showing improvement, they have also sold six properties over $2 million during the last two years.

Congratulations to the team at Raine & Horne Mossman Port Douglas for your achievements.
