The advertising banner, six metres in size, will be on display of the Port Douglas Tennis Club fence for the next two years.

All sponsors were invited to an afternoon tea as a small token of the Club’s appreciation as well as holding an afternoon Junior Tennis Tournament.

“Our main Sponsors, Bel Cibo and Saltwater Commercial contributed a total of $5000. The other nine sponsors contributed $1000 or $500.

“This is a very big help to our not-for-profit community tennis club,” said fundraising volunteer, Robert Dana from Cup Cake Cafe.

The Port Douglas Tennis club also recently celebrated the installation of the new tennis court. The Queensland government provided over $67,000 to support the project one of the many throughout the state aimed at delivering grass roots sporting facilities thus improving participation rates.
